App metadata and settings
Use metadata refresh to inspect store content, and app settings to maintain the identity and configuration SmartLinks uses.
Before you start
Confirm the app's store URLs, Android package name, Apple identity and appropriate credential profiles.
Step by step
- Select the app and open App Metadata.
- Use Scrape Android, Scrape iOS or Scrape Both to refresh the relevant available store information.
- Review the returned content and check that it belongs to the intended listing.
- Open Edit App for basic information, platform settings and credential selection.
- Under Android settings, enter the actual SHA-256 fingerprints when needed for App Links. Under iOS, verify the identifiers required by your app-link setup.
- Review Firebase Integration, Credentials, legal identity and policy documents as applicable.
- Use Save Changes, then reload the edit page to confirm persistence.
- For editing and publishing localized store listing text, use the separate ASO workflow.
Confirm it worked
Saved app identity and configuration remain correct after reload. Refreshed metadata matches the source listing. Scraping/importing store data does not publish changes back to a store.
Troubleshooting
Check the store URL, provider access and app IDs when a refresh fails or returns the wrong content. Never publish service-account JSON or provider secrets copied from these private settings.
