Audience and geography

Audience helps you understand the geographic and platform distribution of recorded app activity.

Before you start

Your app needs analytics data and your account needs permission to view Audience.

Step by step

  1. Select the app and open Audience.
  2. Choose the reporting duration shown on the page.
  3. Inspect Global Distribution, Top Countries and Top Cities.
  4. Read Platform Distribution to compare the available platform categories.
  5. Compare the same time window in Analytics before deciding where to focus localization or campaigns.
  6. Use a high-volume market as an input to ASO, screenshots or country-pricing research, not as a guarantee of demand.

Confirm it worked

The selected period and app remain consistent across the reports, and the breakdowns contain the expected recorded activity. Location data should be treated as an estimate, not a precise address for a user.

Troubleshooting

Empty or unknown locations may reflect limited data or unavailable geography. A small sample is not a reliable basis for sweeping product decisions. If the tab is unavailable, check team permissions and feature access.
