My top 10 things to watch Friday, Feb. 27 1. Dell Technologies reported a true blowout quarter thanks to the AI buildout, sending the stock up 12% this morning. Here's another company making money from AI. It sees AI server revenue doubling to roughly $50 billion in its new fiscal year. Dell used price hikes to offset soaring memory costs and boosted its buyback by $10 billion, too. 2. CoreWeave is spending a fortune on building data centers because it has to. Shares are down big this morning. But almost all of its new 2026 capacity is already allocated, so no wonder its full-year capex guide of $30 billion to $35 billion was well above the Street at $26.9 billion. Pricing for older generations of Nvidia chips remains strong. That should quiet depreciation worries. 3. Jack Dorsey's Block is cutting 40% of its workforce, saying "intelligence tools have changed what it means to build and run a company." The Cash App and Afterpay parent's revenues were flat in 2025. Is this another PayPal? Too many fintechs. Morgan Stanley upgraded the stock to buy from hold, citing its expanding addressable market. 4. Bank of America reinstated coverage of longtime Club name Costco with a buy rating. I'll be talking Costco and the rest of the Club portfolio at noon ET today during our February Monthly Meeting. Analysts take up their estimates, and it's still not enough. Shares are down 11% premarket. Are we back in Monday's world where there's no way you will pay almost 40 times earnings for anything related to software? 6. Gutsy call: Citi downgraded beloved Dollar Tree to hold from buy. Analysts say the risk/reward profile for the retailer is now more balanced after shares have roughly doubled since April 2025. This stock and peers like Dollar General or Five Below are not supposed to be downgraded in a K-shaped economy. 7. Club name Honeywell was upgraded to buy from hold at Wolfe Research. This stock has been hot since the fall, and analysts see even more upside ahead of Honey's upcoming aerospace spinoff. Wolfe argued that Honeywell has already done the "heavy lift" of its portfolio separation. Big call for us. 8. Barclays hiked J.M. Smucker's price target to $125 from $105 after pressure from activist investor Elliott led to the appointment of two new directors to its board. Wells Fargo went to $135 from $120. Analysts said Smucker's fundamentals are still mixed but tighter oversight from Elliott should help the share price. Is Smucker the next Hershey? They really turned it around there. 9. Jefferies cut its price target on Club name CrowdStrike to $500 from $600, but still maintained a buy rating on shares. This is the revenge of the price-to-earnings multiple again. Analysts still expect a beat on fourth-quarter annual recurring revenue growth when the cybersecurity company reports next week. 10. FanDuel parent Flutter missed the quarter and, even worse, issued weak 2026 guidance for revenue and adjusted EBITDA. Deteriorating trends. It's difficult to own a gambling stock right now. Customers with big losses have left. Executives said prediction markets aren't cannibalizing its business.
