AI features and the data they process

ResumePilot offers optional AI features: AI Improve, Cover Letter, Job Match, Interview Prep, and importing a resume from a PDF.

What we send. When, and only when, you tap an AI button, the app sends the text needed for that feature:

Feature	Data sent
AI Improve	The professional summary or bullet point you chose to improve, and the related job title
Cover Letter	Your name, professional summary, job titles and companies, skills, and the company name and job description you entered
Job Match	Your professional summary, skills, and the job description you entered
Interview Prep	Your professional summary, target role, and the job description you entered
Import from PDF	The text extracted from the PDF you select, which normally includes your name, contact details, work history and education

We do not send your photo, contacts, files, device identifiers, or any resume you have not submitted to an AI feature.

How we collect it. The data comes from what you type into the app or from a PDF you choose to import. Nothing is collected in the background.

Who receives it. The text is sent over HTTPS to SmartLinks AI at smartlinks.live, a service operated by [COMPANY NAME], the developer of ResumePilot. It is not shared with, or forwarded to, any other AI provider or third party. [If this ever changes, name the vendor here and in the app's disclosure sheet.]

How it is used. Solely to generate the text you requested and return it to your device. It is not used for advertising, profiling, or training models, and it is not sold. [Retention: e.g. "Request text is kept for up to N days for abuse prevention and then deleted." — state the real period.]

Your permission and control. The app asks for your explicit permission the first time you use an AI feature and shows you exactly what will be sent and to whom. Nothing is sent before you agree. You can withdraw permission at any time in Settings › Privacy › AI data sharing; the AI features then send nothing.

Local storage. Your resumes, versions, exports and photos are stored on your device. Deleting the app deletes them.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to, or intended for use by, individuals under the age of 16 (or under the age of 13 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal data from children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child without verifiable parental consent, we will promptly delete such information from our servers. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately at admin@alkashier.com.

10. App Store & Play Store Requirements

In accordance with Apple App Store Guidelines and Google Play Store Developer Policies:

The App requests only permissions strictly necessary to fulfill its core functionality (e.g., storage/file access to save generated PDF resumes).
Users can access the App's core privacy settings and submit data deletion requests at any time via the link provided in Section 7 or within the App interface.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our legal obligations, technology, or data handling practices. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, providing prominent notice within the App or via email.

Advertising and Third-Party Advertising Partners

This app displays advertising served by Google AdMob. To deliver and measure ads, Google and its certified partners may collect and process your device's advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID or Apple IDFA), IP address, approximate location, and ad interaction data.

Where required in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, we ask for your consent before any personalised advertising is shown, using Google's IAB TCF-certified consent form. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time from the privacy options in the app's settings.

You can reset or delete your advertising identifier in your device settings (Android: Settings → Privacy & security → Ads; iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking). See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and Google's advertising partners.

Because we display personalised advertising, our sharing of advertising identifiers with advertising partners may constitute a "sale" or "share" for cross-context behavioural advertising as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). You may opt out at any time by declining personalised advertising in the app's privacy options, or by limiting ad tracking in your device settings.
